I ordered the product and at first it didn’t work. I called and was told I needed to adjust the nozzle. I had the rotten egg smell really bad. Once I adjusted the nozzle and heavily aerated for a few days the smell was gone and I was able to just the nozzle back down to the lower setting.

We recently had a new home constructed on a 3.5 acre parcel of land that was used as a horse pasture. It was cleared of trees and very flat. Construction of our new house was completed in June, and the well was put in a couple of months before that, so it is a very young well. The sulfur smell was everywhere! I had no previous knowledge of sulfur filters (or well water treatments like this) and just researched online for my new well. I had a 260 magnesium level with extreme iron content (extreme). I ordered, after speaking to a very knowledgeable person, the upgraded “deluxe” model instead of the smaller model due to the iron levels. The sulfur smell would permeate the entire house on cold or hot water before the filter. Filling the tub would actually run you out! After 48-60 hours using the first filter and the deluxe model, the smell was GONE! I have had well water for 50 years and never heard of a product that could do this. Buy this! Purchased a Sulfur Elimator deluxe (Iron Buster) filter and aerator- I was beyond skeptical at first. After reviewing multiple products and filter systems for our well for house we purchased in TN I was becoming very pessimistic with the cost and concerns with the result. We already have one filter in the house, along with water softener but sulfur smell was still very strong, especially when running hot water. I had to deal with a well cap with a not very well placed PVC pipe that was covering the vent hole in my well cap. After speaking with Heather managed to confirm vent hole and figured out how to rig the vent cap in order to run pipe into the well, and also had to replace faucet on the well. We just went through very cold weather- in the teens and single digits for a couple of days so really did not think I would see results in 48 hours if at all just due to the intensity of the sulfur smell. After months of dealing with the terrible odor coming from our well water, (and a ton of research on the internet), I was fortunate enough to come across this product mentioned in a thread online that I was reading about. It was on a forum about well water being heavy with Iron, and Sulphur bacteria and the “rotten egg” smell that occurs as a result. I decided to check out this product, so I watched the videos on their website and then called to talk to them directly, as I had specific questions. Not only did they answer all of my questions, but they also explained how the product specifically works. We have had the sulfur eliminator sense August of 2017, at first when we got it, there was some question as if it would work or not. The iron content in our water was 17 parts per million. But after working with the people at the company it started to work. AND WORK VERY WELL!!! I was not able to change the filter in the unit during the winter, because of the extreme cold here. First off, after running the unit for the first 2 days, the rotten egg smell was gone and since I had ordered the deluxe model, the filter for the iron was brown which meant it was working. We decided to splurge and install a well on a piece of land we own where we camp and store our RV. Long story short, it ended up costing over $10k by the time they found water. Imagine our disappointment when we finally connected and it smelled so bad like rotten eggs, and tremendously worse when it was heated for showers. It was so bad, we started carrying along 5 gallons of water to use, negating all the money we had spent on the well.

People, people, people. In life you don’t always need to no how something works you just need to know the bottom line, it works.
This is one of those times. I am a contractor and I do don’t understand how this thing works. Several of my friends that have had wells don’t understand either. But the bottom line is that it works. We are staying with some friends while we’re in the process of moving. They warned us that the water was nasty. That was an understatement. Smelled like a rotten egg fart factory. I tried a whole house cartridge filter system, nothing.

Our well is 20 years old and over the past few years it began developing a sulfur smell at times. Over the past several weeks it developed a consistent bad smell. I started looking into how to long term solve the problem. Most options seemed very expensive and didn’t seem to have a high success rate for the cost. We built a house in the mountains of NC and I knew nothing about well water. The water smelled so bad that we never used it for drinking or brushing our teeth. My story is a long one but will try and keep it short. We bought a house in rural south central Oregon and when we moved in the smell of the water was awful. I told my husband I can’t live here with the water as it is. He went online and started researching the problem. Found many articles and even other systems but when he came across the Sulfur Eliminator he said “I think this is it”. We order and installed. There was a difference right away but didn’t eliminate the smell completely. I called many times and Heather was an angel while helping us. She made suggestions of things to try but none seemed to totally eliminate the smell. While talking with me on one of the many calls she made the suggestion to check the pressure in our holding tank and even walked me through the process of how to do that. She said it may be water logged in which case the smell wouldn’t be eliminated. So we did and sure enough that was the issue. Had a new pressure tank installed and we now have odor free water! Sulfur smell is a common problem in this area and I have told family and friends about this system. Even the plumber who installed the tank hadn’t heard of it and said he was going to look into getting the system for his mother who is on a well. I recommend this product highly! IT REALLY WORKS! The greatest thing for wells since sliced bread! I had a terrible, and I mean TERRIBLE sulfur gas smell from my hot and cold water. My coworker (Todd Peck) recently purchased a sulfur eliminator and told me about the change it made in his water. Having just purchased a new home with a terrible sulfur smell in the water, I figured I would give it a try. The sulfur eliminator arrived and was easy to install within 10 minutes. The only issue I had was the port where I removed the blue cap in my well was too small for their adapter to thread into. It is amazing when something works like advertised. This works! $600 is a gamble when you are just hoping it will cure the problem. But two days after hooking it up the smell was gone. I had just recently treated the well with the pills and powder to fix the problem. This was the third time to treat it in a year but the smell returned. And treating it with the pills and powder required running the water everywhere till you could smell chlorine then let it sit for 8 to 12 hours. Very time-consuming. Even after going to all of that trouble, the smell came back after two weeks. Then I installed this and it fixed it! Two days the smell is gone. After a week that first filter was totally brown and nasty. Then I put on the little spray nozzle and have had it going for about three weeks and it is still blue. I wish I understood how it works. It is not really a filter but an inoculator. It just sprays down into the well a fine spray that has passed through the blue filter. I figure it must be doing something that the iron eating bacteria don’t like. I am sold on this. Now I am interested if it will keep on working. So far so good.

We bought a large lot for a new home and had the well and septic system finished before starting the home construction. Using those resources, we lived on site in our camper for almost 2 years while the house was being built. We were proud of the water from our well. It passed the health department tests and tasted good and did not stink. We had the water tested by Culligan and it was OK but very hard (20). Because of the septic ‘drip’ system we had to put in, we could not use a salt softener. So we installed a Pelican water conditioner early in the construction and things were even better.
As the house progress neared completion, we began to suspect that a bad odor emerging in the camper may be coming from the water. With time, it became obvious that the water smelled of sulfur. I nearly panicked and looked everywhere and talked to everyone. I looked like we would have to spend a fortune on systems to take care of this problem and spend even more time and money to keep it working. We could not even tolerate rinsing the toothpaste from our mouths with the water straight from the well. We put a filter in the camper to allow us to make coffee.
In my relentless internet searching, I stumbled on ‘The Sulfur Eliminator’ on Amazon. The try-it-first warranty was genius. They must have a great deal of confidence to do that. Our well system uses a ‘Cycle Stop Valve’ so I wrote its manufacturer and was told that it would work with their special control valve but recommended increasing the water tank from less than 5 gallons to at least 20 gallons and that the eliminator would backflow about 1.5 gallons an hour through their valve. That was the permission I needed. We ordered it.
Our well has a pittless adapter so I setup the trial with a hose from a hydrant. In just two days we noticed a difference. By two weeks there was no odor and the water tasted great again. My panic turned to delight, my blood pressure came back down and I was tickled to pay the price for this result. I am a believer! Thank goodness someone figured this problem out.

I installed this about 11 months ago and within 2 days the odor was totally gone. Before I installed the system we couldn’t even get near a faucet because the odor was so bad.
Now that we’ve had it for awhile, and rinsing the filter out monthly, I have noticed that I am using a lot less salt in my water softener tank. Instead of filling the tank monthly, I don’t need salt for 2 or 3 months now.

I have battled the Rotten Egg smell for years and spent several $1000 on filter systems and water heater anodes. After 5 days at Heavy Aeration, I noticed smell greatly reduced. Waited another 2 days to put on Maintenance Aeration and by then the 1st filter was “Red” with Iron Oxide. Changed to the blue filter and after couple of days, it too was getting red. We were going to do a lot of remodeling and figured after we got rid of the old carpet, painted everything, etc. the smell would be gone. WRONG!! Our water was not good at all. Sulphur smell most of the time, rust, and black bacteria on faucets. Constantly had to clean sinks, fixture screens, shower, and toilets. I have to say I was very skeptical of this product, but after draining lines, water heaters, flushing with different chemicals, I was ready to give it a try. I have been very pleasantly surprised. We ordered the sulfur eliminator and installed it at the beginning of 2022. We had to have a water spigot placed at our wellhead which is located under ground under a manhole in our driveway. Once that was in place we were able to easily hook up the sulfur eliminator. Our sulfur was gone in approximately eight hours. After the spray tip was put in place the smell did return a day or so later. The rubber gasket in the well head was impeding the spray tip nozzle, however we were able to drill out the access so that we could insert the spray tip deeper into the well. Once we were able to do that the sulfur did not return. A fabulous product so thankful that we found it! Thank you to the Sulfur elimination engineer and staff!!

If your only issue is the sulfur (rotten egg) smell this is absolutely the right buy!! I ordered it on July 19th and got it by the 22nd. It literally took 10 minutest to install from unpacking to hooking it up to the well. 8 hours later the sulfur smell is gone. I bought a whole house water filtration system before I found this and I returned the whole thing after installing this. I did a water test on my well to make sure the water is drinkable and it is. I would make sure you do a test on your water before buying a whole house water filtration system for thousands of dollars if your only issue is the smell. I was going to have to pay for a plumber to install it from the main water line coming in and you also have to have a power source and drain source for the backwash. Not with the Sulfur Eliminator though, you just hook it up to your well head and let it work! My plumber quoted me $800.00 for install alone on the whole house filtration system that does not even guarantee the smell will be gone. We live in South Central Texas and our well is about 185 feet deep. The smell was gone in about 12 hours of hooking it up. The smell has not come back and time we are very happy with this product!! I never ever write reviews but this is a great product!

We recently switched from a salt water softener system to a non-salt soft water system and the sulfur odor came back with a vengeance. Thinking it was on our hot water side only, I purchased a electric anode rod. That fixed the hot water side but the cold water side was the worse sulfur smell you can imagine. Amazing product. Worth 10 stars! We have 7 yr old home on a well in north central FL. The sulphur stink went from barely noticeable when we moved in to horrible. Changes in acquafier? Our Culligan treatment system did nothing for the sulphur, and they wanted ANOTHER $6500 to put in ANOTHER tank in our garage, which already looked like a missile silo.
